About the Program

Programme Overview

The BSc (Hons) Shipping programme creates executives in the shipping market. The programme provides students with a solid academic background as well as rich practical experience so that they are able to respond to the increased demands of the shipping sector. The Greek shipping industry is a world leader and, at the same time, a particularly important sector of the Greek economy that also offers excellent opportunities for professional development.

The curriculum is interdisciplinary, linking shipping topics such as activities, management, legal and financial aspects. Students understand the way of operation of the sector and the principles that make shipping companies successful. They have the opportunity to study all shipping fields, gain experience and explore the international factors affecting the shipping industry.

Graduates of the BSc Shipping programme can pursue a career in ship owning companies, ship management companies, shipbrokers and other shipping organisations and companies in the shipping community.
