Overview

Algebra University College was established in 2008 as a private higher education institution, ranked 1st in the Republic of Croatia concerning the overall quality of programs and Quality Assurance System according to the National Agency for Science and Higher Education. We offer modern bachelor and master study programs in Computer Science: Data Science, Game Development, Software Engineering, and System Engineering; in Economy: Digital Marketing and e-Leadership MBA, and Arts: Design, 3D Design, and Communications Management, all taught in English.

Algebra is ranked 1st in the Republic of Croatia with respect to the overall quality of our professional study programmes according to the National Agency for Science and Higher Education. Our University College was chosen as the world’s best organization in the field of education among 3200 organizations evaluated by Microsoft in 2014 and we have reconfirmed this status in 2020. Algebra is a co-founder of the Leading Learning Partners Association (LLPA) recognized as the winner of the 2020 Microsoft Learning Partner of the Year.  We are also proud of being the only institution in the Republic of Croatia that has met the quality requirements of the Dutch-Flemish accreditation agency NVAO.

Algebra University College signed a partnership agreement with Goldsmiths, University of London in January 2022. Goldsmiths, University of London is ranked among the top 500 best universities in the world according to QS World University Rankings. Students who complete full-time study programs in English have the opportunity to obtain a dual degree from Algebra University College and Goldsmiths, University of London. They have also established a strong network of international partners through our student exchange programs as well as the traditional Algebra Winter and Summer School for students from around the globe who are keen to join applicable and creative courses in the field of digital technologies while exploring the best of Croatia. Their International School are 3-4-week programme held every January and July for students worldwide.

Students can choose between 14 bachelor and master study programmes/specializations that are equivalent to Bachelor's and Master’s degree programmes.

Through this partnership, Algebra University College offers the next generation of its students the possibility to study in English in undergraduate and graduate study programmes in the fields of computing, design and management, validated by Goldsmiths, University of London.

In addition to their University College study programmes, we have established a strong network of international partners through our student exchange programs, as well as our annual International Winter and Summer School programs for students from around the globe who are keen to join innovative, applicable and creative courses while enjoying the best of Croatia.

Campus & Facilities

Algebra University College opened a brand-new Zagreb campus in March 2022, a modern digital hub open to students and innovators. Outside Croatia, Algebra is a proud organizer of ABC Bootcamps, offering 2-week summer educational programs in Toronto and Silicon Valley focused on developing practical entrepreneurial skills. We strive to become a leader in providing high-quality education in the field of computer science and digital technologies.

The new campus covers almost 12.500 square meters and has 35 lecture rooms named after many Croatian and world innovators and scientists such as Nikola Tesla, Steve Jobs, Ivan Lupis, Faust Vrančić, Ruđer Bošković, Slavoljub Penkala, Ivan Vučetić, and the recently deceased emeritus professor Slavko Krajcar, the first rector of Algebra University.

In addition to the newly equipped lecture rooms, which consist of almost 700 computers, laser projectors and equipment for live streaming of the lectures, the teaching process takes place in 14 separate online cabinets for distance learning and training.

To ensure creativity in design teaching, Algebra has a modern Art Studio and a 3D production room with 3D printers for larger formats. Their Video and Audio Studios, as well as the Podcast Room, are readily available to Multimedia and Digital Marketing students to further hone their production and post-production skills. Our unique Innovation Centre is open to all students during university working hours as a maker space for collaborative work.
